I have to admit, I was frustrated when representatives from the Texas Department of Health and Human Services spent an entire day at our facility observing our production process to ensure we weren't using any ingredients that weren't listed on our labels. At the time, it felt a bit excessive.

But after giving it more thought, I realized just how important their work is. Even a small labeling error or omission can have serious consequences for someone with food allergies. As someone with friends and family who live with allergies, I truly appreciate that there are agencies dedicated to ensuring manufacturers follow strict labeling requirements and help keep consumers safe.

We've received several DMs regarding the recent recall involving another company that manufactures African food products.
